Agriculture |
This was known as HMS Peewit, a relief landing ground for Condor. A few
hangars and buildings still exist but are all used by farmers. I don`t
think much of the runway would be visible now as it was mostly dug up
the last time I was there (10yrs+) |

Closed 1946. To US Navy but the airfield has recently been vacated. A
lot of upgrading and building has taken place during the Navy`s stay,
including a building on the main runway! Recent aerial photo`s show it
to be complete and secure. It is currently for sale. |
