Tinker Cup
Clause 1.3
now provides for the playing of fixtures. Instead of 2 days
being allocated, if a fixture is postponed it will then be
played on the next available Sunday and in the event of any
disagreement the Fixtures Secretary shall set the date of
the re-arranged fixture. However, a point for comment. Do
we provide that in the event of the final not being able to
be completed, the teams in the final be declared the joint
winners of the Competition. I may be over-cautious in this
regard but possibly Maurice could revert with his comments.
If happy, then lets send the Tinker Cup out.

Clause 2.1 provides that the registration form and
self-declaration form must both be furnished by 31 March.
However, as provided in the minutes, these forms need only
be provided for new players to a club, ie if a player
transfers clubs he should also file a registration form but
if they could be asked to advise me that the SDF form was
provided the previous year. An enquiry for you - will the
SDF forms need to be re-supplied, probably in the season
2008, or would it be 2009 - we can discuss this later.

Clause 5.1 has been slightly amended which takes into
account a student who returns, say, at half term, and
provides that he must have played for matches for the club
in the previous season and need not have been resident at
least 7 days prior to taking part in any competition. That
does seem equitable.

The Committee reviewed the duration of the innings for the
Karran Cup Competition which has been left at 45 overs for
the 2007 season. The Committee took on board the views of
the clubs at the AGM. The policy of the Committee is that
the Karran Cup should move to 50 overs per innings and that
with effect from the 2008 season the Karran Cup matches
should be 50 overs per innings
