Leica digilux 1 digital stills camera for digiscoping. Cannon UC9Hi hi8
camcorder and an excellent field guide (although showing signs of age, neglect
and misuse, courtesy of CJW).
Vehicle: Honda Accord diesel
Manx List: 182
Favourite Manx Species:
Long Eared Owl, Hen Harrier and any that I find before CJW (although I may find them, I
probably don't know what they are)
Worst Manx Species: Gulls.
Favourite Manx Sites: Maughold Head, Ayres , Ballaugh Curraghs, Sulby
Glen Hotel or any other pub after a winters morning birding.
Drink: Stout, Lager, Bitter, Cider, bit of a tourist when it comes
to the finer side of quaffing.
Pet Hates: This rule which is loaded against the newer members to
the birding brotherhood, where you have to buy either beer or ice-creams for the
group each time you get a new bird, ought to be buy 3 get one free.
Personal Comments:
I've been birding for nearly a year now and my Manx List is starting to look
respectable. I am on a bit of a morale dilemma as I do not count birds that I
have seen in the UK prior to starting birding in 2002, consequently my UK list
is only 16 more than my Manx.
