Directions: From Ramsey, take the coast road toward Bride. After passing through a small area of houses on an ‘S’ bend (Dog Mills), take the second turning on the left. The dubh is on the left after ¼ mile.

 

Car Parking: On road parking, take care not to block the passage of farm vehicles.

 

Habitat: Open, grazed, farmland (floods in winter) and a large pond with boggy ground.

 

Year round species: Mallard and “plastics”. Red-legged Partridge, Grey Partridge

 

Summer Visitors: Whitethroat, Sand Martin

 

Passage Migrants: Pipits, wagtails, Wheatear

 

Winter Visitors: - Gulls, Wigeon, Goldeneye, Pochard, Shoveler, Pink-footed Geese, Snipe, occasional Jack Snipe.

 

Highlights: Common Crane, Red-throated Pipit, Yellow-legged Gull, Black-tailed Godwit.
